Los Angeles Magazine: Of the scores of tour drivers who ply their trade in Hollywood, he’s widely acknowledged as the best, the one who combines an encyclopedic knowledge with an irresistible patter.
Los Angeles Times: We knew we were in for a special afternoon when all of the women leaving the previous tour kissed Donnelly and all the men pushed wads of bills into his palm.
Most people know me through the tours I’ve been giving in Hollywood for nearly 20 years. From the filming locations of La La Land and American Horror Story to the scandal and crime scenes of Michael Jackson and Black Dahlia, the only thing I love more than the legendary history of Los Angeles is sharing it with others. From first-time tourists to life-time residents, my goal is to give you an experience of the city that you will never forget.
Beyond Hollywood, Los Angeles is a unique and diverse city of over 4 million people sprawling across 500+ square miles. Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t go anywhere without my camera. When I’m not giving tours, I love exploring the many quirks and peculiarities of LA and documenting its often fleeting eccentricities. From the colorful street art and street fashion to its architecture and numerous ethnic enclaves, I photograph how the city expresses itself in its oh-so-unique-ways.
Every day I say, “I’m the luckiest man alive. I get to do what I live and live in the best city in the world, Los Angeles”.
